MAKING PEACE WITH EL MAQUINO

> “You can never explain to people in full measure what happened here,” Deidre Pujols said yesterday.  Maybe so, but that’s not good enough.  To put it in a cheapened term, my favorite player’s gone from my favorite team.  And since Albert Pujols failed to give me any kind of closure at his press conference/Angels ha ha fest  yesterday, I have to find some kind of answer based on what he said in a secondary press conference inside Angel Stadium–which was the one not televised. In fairness to Albert, yesterday was an Angels day, not a feel-sorry-for-the-Cards day.  So I didn’t expect him to give a dissertation about how great the Cardinals and their fans have been to him.  But to not even tip the hat?  Say goodbye or thank you in a way...
